Anzac Day is an Australian and New Zealand commemorative public holiday held on the 25 April every year. It honours members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli in Turkey during World War I. It now remembers all those who died and served in military operations, including current wars.

The Australian War Memorial is located in Canberra and was completed in 1941. The architectural influences are Byzantine and Art Deco.
The Shrine of Remembrance is located in ANZAC Square in Brisbane. The architectural style is Greek Classic Revival.
